| August, 1990: Formed at the Association for Education of Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) annual convention, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. The following people attended the inaugural meeting: Tsan-Kuo Chang, Yuwei Hu, Lin-Lin Ku, Tuen-yu Lau, Chin-Chuan Lee, Bonnie Peng, James Tsao, Daniel Wu, Yichen Wu, Liqun Yan, Tai-en Yang, and Jianhua Zhu. September, 1990: CCA Constitution approved July, 1991: First issue of CCA News published July, 1992: Legally registered in the State of Minnesota, U.S.A. as a non-profit organization (Corporate Charter Number: 1H-804); headquartered in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities until 2004 August, 1992: Joined AEJMC's Council of Affiliates September, 1992: CCA Constitution amended; joined National Communication Association as an affiliated association May, 1993: Tax exempt status determined by the Internal Revenue Service March, 1994: Signed Protocol of Agreement with International Association for Mass Communication Research November, 1997: CCA Web site launched; joined International Federation of Communication Associations January, 2000: Delivered CCA News online June, 2001: Joined International Communication Association as an institutional affiliate member July, 2001: CCA Constitution amended June, 2003: Official Chinese name adopted by the executive committee 2005: CCA web site relocated and hosted by School of Communication and Information, NTU, Singapore .
