The Chinese culture has received increasing attention and appreciation with the fast growth of political, economic and cultural exchanges and integrations around the world. Globalization, informatization and digitalization have offered more opportunities and challenges than ever in communicating Chinese culture globally.To enhance Chinese cultural communication from global perspectives, Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information of Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Association of Journalism History (China), and School of Journalism and Communication of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China) will jointly hold the Sixth Conference on Chinese Media and Chinese Civilization in Singapore August 7-9, 2009.Theme and TopicsThe theme of this conference is “Communicating Chinese Culture: from China to the World”. The length of full papers must not exceed 8,000 words (including text, figures, tables and references), with an abstract of 300 words.2.
